We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical / Mechanical Design Engineers to work with our client, hybrid attendance at Cheadle or Templecombe delivering support to manufacturing, product development and addressing in service issues.  The successful candidate preferably should have experience working on marine sonar or towed array products. However suitability experienced mechanical / electrical design candidates will be be considered for the role.

We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with military and or aerospace experience.

The Electromechanical / Mechanical Design Engineer will perform, but is not limited to the following type of activities centred on provision of marine outboard hardware related to a towed array:

• Creation of General Arrangement drawing + Wiring Schematics
• Creation of PTS/Test Documentation
• Creation of Family Tree/Bill of Materials (BoM)

• Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
• A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu

• CREO/CAD
• Palma/Team Centre
• Good understanding of EMC
• Windchill

• Post graduate relevant work experience
• Defence, Aerospace or Oil and Gas work experience would suit this role
• Design engineering, mechanical and/or electrical /electronic, with the capability to support design and installation activities.
• The ability to support across the full Engineering Development Lifecycle

• Able to obtain SC
• Willingness to work minimum 2 days per week at Cheadle or Templecombe
