Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to work with our client, onsite (4 days minimum onsite) at Barnstaple working to deliver next generation underwater sensing systems.  The successful should have experience working on marine sonar or towed array products.

We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with military, aerospace or experience.

The Electronics Engineer will perform, but is not limited to the following type of activities centred on provision of marine sonar systems:

• Electrical/electronic design
• Schematic Capture for PCB Layout for POC hardware
• Creation of Family Tree/Bill of Materials (BoM)
• Commissioning and Integration
• Creation of Test Documentation
• Determination/documentation of performance

Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.  A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu.

• Problem solving across a wide range of technologies / products
• Communication, influencing, negotiating
• Adaptation / ability to work to specific company process

• Knowledge of eCAD design tools for schematic capture
• Ability to use simulation tools like SPICE
• Good understanding of design for EMC

• 7 years post graduate relevant work experience
• Defence, Aerospace or Oil and Gas work experience would suit this role.
• Able to work across the full Engineering Development Lifecycle
