Overview

We are looking for a talented Contract Management / Procurement Specialist, ideally with consultancy experience, to join us at Expleo. This client facing role will support the IT Operations team in managing commercial contracts, supplier relationships, and procurement processes.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders, as well as internal and external teams. 

You will be working on a high-profile client portfolio alongside the Head of Contracts & Commercial, focusing on the commercial and operational aspects of IT service contracts, and so open communication lines and an eye for detail is critical for success.

Expleo works across multiple clients and industries, so there is an expectation that you will contribute to the continued growth of the Practice as time allows.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain IT operations contracts, including application support, licensing, and service agreements.
  • Review and interpret contract terms, SLAs, and legal conditions to ensure compliance and operational alignment.
  • Lead procurement activities including supplier engagement, quote evaluation, and tender management (6–7 tenders concurrently).
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth contract lifecycle management.
  • Support the drafting and negotiation of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of contract status, renewals, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

  • Business Administration
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Finance or Accounting
  • Law or Legal Studies
  • Engineering (for technical procurement roles)

Essential skills

  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret commercial contracts, SLAs, and licensing agreements.
  • Familiarity with legal and procurement processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and supplier management skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tenders and procurement cycles simultaneously.
  • Ability to think logically and use own initiative to build on your knowledge base.
  • Able to apply project management disciplines such as stakeholder identification and management, supplier management, risk and issue logs, decision logs

Experience

  • Strong background in IT contract management and procurement.
  • Experience working with IT operations teams and understanding of application support models.
  • Supplier Management – managing external suppliers to ensure that the scope of work is delivered within time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Comfortable working within a hybrid Waterfall/Agile framework
  • Experience within the automotive industry or energy industry is desirable but not essential

What do I need before I apply

  • You will be expected to be on-site with clients in Buckinghamshire 1 to 2 days per week or as the programme requires.
