Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Software QA Consultant to support a Faster Claims Payment programme. This role is essential in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the claims systems and processes, helping to deliver prompt and seamless payments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test cases to validate claims processing functionality and system enhancements.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and claims teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in preparing test data and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and testing frameworks.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance

Essential skills

  • Understanding of Faster Payments systems and UK financial regulations.
  • Understanding of claims processing systems and workflows.
  • Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is beneficial.

Experience

  • Experience in a QA or software testing role, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Exposure to automation testing tools and scripting.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
