As part of our continued support to our customer in the space sector, we are currently looking for a number of Welding Technicians to be based on site at our customer's facility and the contract role is deemed to be inside IR35, with the rate negotiable based on experience, seniority etc.
As a Welding Technician you will be working within the Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) group supporting the team with the manufacture and integration of satellite propulsion systems. Current processes are Orbital welding, mechanical assembly, mechanical integration, harness manufacture and alignment operations. The main mission of this work package is to perform welding activities on spacecraft.
Welding of Titanium and Stainless steel pipe work for Propulsion Systems using an AMI 207A or Orbitec EVO200-WP Orbital Welder power supply and an AMI Model 9-500 Weld Head.
Perform mechanical assembly and welding of Titanium and Stainless steel pipe work for Propulsion satellite builds
