Overview

Expleo is a trusted partner for end-to-end, integrated engineering, quality services and management consulting for digital transformation.  We help businesses harness unrelenting technological change to successfully deliver innovations that will help them gain a competitive advantage and improve the everyday lives of people around the globe.

A Knowledge Management Strategist is required for a 6-month engagement to support the delivery of a comprehensive Knowledge Management (KM) strategy within a major organisational transformation programme. This role blends KM expertise with project-management-style coordination, supporting the development, alignment, and adoption of KM practices, processes, and cultural behaviours across the programme and the wider organisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping how knowledge is captured, shared, and sustained, ensuring that project teams, new starters, and functional stakeholders have efficient access to critical information and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a tailored Knowledge Management strategy for the transformation programme, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s broader KM frameworks, charters, and governance principles.

  • Review and integrate existing KM tools, repositories, and materials to create a unified and coherent KM approach.

  • Develop clear decision trees and process maps to guide users on what knowledge to store, how to classify it, and where it should reside.

  • Build an engagement plan to ensure functional teams understand and adopt the KM strategy within their own processes and ways of working.

  • Drive a positive, embedded KM culture within the programme, promoting knowledge sharing and behavioural change that encourages organisation-wide adoption.

  • Integrate KM into the New Starter Process, ensuring newcomers have a structured introduction to KM expectations, practices, and key resources.

  • Contribute to measurable improvements in onboarding efficiency and time-to-proficiency for project personnel.

  • Create a Knowledge Risk Management Plan, working collaboratively with both KM and risk management stakeholders.

  • Support continuous improvement of KM processes, ensuring long-term sustainability and alignment with transformation objectives.

Essential skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering Knowledge Management strategies.

  • Experience creating KM processes, workflows, decision trees, and structured repositories.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence adoption and behavioural change.

  • Ability to identify and streamline knowledge flows, repositories, and governance structures.

  • Understanding of onboarding processes and how KM enhances new starter effectiveness.

  • Competence in risk assessment related to KM (knowledge loss, knowledge continuity, etc.).

  • Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with wider project and functional teams.

Desired skills

  • Experience supporting large transformation programmes or multi-functional change initiatives.

  • Familiarity with knowledge-sharing platforms, collaboration tools, and digital KM solutions.

  • Background in developing cultural change or behavioural adoption strategies.

  • Experience aligning KM processes across complex organisations or distributed teams.

Experience

  • Proven experience in Knowledge Management, Information Management, or organisational learning roles.

  • Background in programme or project environments, particularly within transformation or change initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of KM frameworks, methodologies, and practical implementation.

  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
