Responsibilities

  • Review current whole platform maintenance solutions.
  • Analyse avaliability and failure date to define root cause.
  • Conduct in depth RCM studies on all systems.
  • Work closley with platform staff and SMEs
  • Ensure compliance with MOD and naval standards throughout the change process

Qualifications

  • Qualified Marine Engineer
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture
  • Additional naval or defence-related qualifications are advantageous

Essential skills

 

  • Knowledge of Sub-surface Platforms
  • Significant experience in defence naval operations and marine engineering
  • Deep understanding of RCM and FMECA
  • Understanding of Marine Maintenance Software
  • Strong coordination and administrative skills with excellent communication abilities
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational activities under pressure
  • Strong understanding of ship systems and equipment
  • Strong understanding of MOD and Naval Standards

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of Surface Platforms

Experience

  • Petty Officer grade or above with relevant experience
  • Experience working with naval clients or in a defence consultancy environment
