Responsibilities

  • Work within an Integrated Project Team to provide planning and project control services
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules (preferably in Safran), including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activities, dependencies, lookaheads and milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against the schedule and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential schedule risks, delays, and bottlenecks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Support risk analysis against project schedules from a time& cost point of view to establish any impact to key schedule dates and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect data for schedule updates.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, forecasts, and dashboards for management and clients.
  • Assist in the development of project planning procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Support project controls activities, including resource planning, cost integration, and progress tracking.
  • Attend project meeting to report on project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements related to project scheduling, which will the inclusion of budgeted hours and all project costs for labour, materials and subcontract works.
  • Performance measurement (including Earned value management)

Essential skills

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler (preferably using Safran).
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling methodologies (critical path identification/analysis, milestone charts, float management including erosion etc.), and project controls principles.
  • Experience with reporting tools and progress tracking techniques, that include ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proactive and motivated team players who can work collaboratively both within the function and the wider Integrated Project team, acting as an advocate and role model for good planning process
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully planning projects of varying levels of complexity and in different stages of the Project Lifecycle.
  • Analytical and logical nature with a strong desire for continuous improvement
  • Able to recognise, develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels
  • Knowledge of maritime, engineering or oil/gas projects is highly desirable

Desired skills

  • APMQ/Prince 2 qualifications (desirable)
  • Previous experience working within planning environment
