Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out detailed Engineering design activities, working closely with cross-functional teams on a range of projects, making sure that work complies with industry standards and regulations.

Scope of work

• Produce technical drawings to BS 8888 standards;

• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) appropriately;

• Translate an existing concept-level design into manufacture-ready drawings;

• Create detailed part and assembly drawings, including BOMs where required;

• Prepare and release drawings into SolidWorks PDM;

• Ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and suitable for suppliers/manufacturing.

• Degree Qualified Engineer in a Mechanical Engineering subject

• Strong experience with SolidWorks.

• Good working knowledge of BS 8888 and modern drawing practices.

• Solid understanding of GD&T.

• Experience preparing designs for manufacture.

• Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM.

• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Experience preparing designs for manufacture.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks.
