Are you an experienced finance professional ready to take ownership of core financial operations in a dynamic global organisation? At Expleo UK, we’re searching for a Financial Controller who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and impact. This is a highvisibility role where youll oversee key financial processes, partner with international teams, and ensure the integrity of reporting across the UK business.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead essential financial operations and ensure the highest standards of accuracy and control.

  • Provide oversight, quality assurance, and approvals for the Accounting team based in India
  • Lead the full month‑end reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely close
  • Manage local forecasts and budgets for the UK entity
  • Complete uploads and sign‑off for all Group Finance submissions
  • Control all SG&A cost lines and associated budgets
  • Lead and coordinate external audit requests, ensuring efficient and complete responses
  • Approve bank payments and conduct short‑ and long‑term cash flow forecasting
  • Perform detailed variance analysis across all general ledger lines, providing insights and commentary
  • Ensure all activities adhere to internal policies, controls, and governance standards
  • Support senior stakeholders with data-driven insights to influence financial decisions

Qualifications

Essential

  • You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

Desirable

  • Additional relevant course or certification
  • MBA or equivalent experience

Essential skills

  • Strong knowledge of monthly close processes, forecasting, budgeting, and audit cycles
  • Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and present insights to stakeholders
  • Comfortable collaborating with offshore or shared‑service finance teams
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines

Experience

  • Experience in financial controlling, senior accounting, or a similar finance leadership role
  • Experience in global, matrix, or multi-entity organisations
  • Prior involvement in Group reporting or consolidation activities
  • Familiarity with SG&A cost management in professional services
  • Experience improving finance processes, controls, or data governance

  • Permanent salary: £70,000 base + £8,000 bonus
