Responsibilities

  • As a Process Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop engineering processes that elevate operational performance across our client’s manufacturing environments. You will:
    • Lead process engineering strategy, covering methods, capability improvement, process design, and optimisation
    • Develop and implement best‑in‑class industrial processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and alignment with business goals
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools, diagnostics, and SPS/SIM methodologies
    • Manage investment planning, ensuring strong ROI for new equipment and manufacturing technologies
    • Lead retrofit, renewal, and deployment of new tools, machines, and production assets
    • Oversee layout design, ergonomics, workflow optimisation, and process flow simulation
    • Ensure equipment maintainability through TPM practices and engineering standardisation
    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, developing skills, performance and engagement
    • Collaborate cross‑functionally with design, industrial deployment, maintenance, and operations teams
    • Provide technical guidance to external suppliers and design partners

Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Additional certifications (Lean Six Sigma, TPM, NEBOSH, etc.) are a plus, not a requirement

Essential skills

  • Knowledge of lean principles, industrial diagnostics, and continuous improvement techniques
  • Familiarity with TPM, equipment maintainability, and operational performance metrics (OEE, TTP, DT, etc.)
  • Ability to lead engineering teams, manage budgets, and drive change in complex environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable using ERP systems and MS Office for reporting and planning

Experience

  • Experience in layout design, capacity planning, ergonomics, and process optimisation
  • Strong experience in manufacturing or process engineering leadership
  • Experience in simulation tools, digital manufacturing or Industry 4.0
  • Exposure to industrial investment planning and ROI analysis
  • Background in automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing systems
  • Experience working within SPS frameworks or similar operational excellence systems
