Overview

The Automotive Planning Lead will provide integrated planning and operational governance support across Platform Integration activities within  engineering programmes. The role will be responsible for coordinating programme timing, integration activities, release readiness, operational reporting, and stakeholder alignment across Integration, Test, Release, and Programme teams.

 

The successful candidate will support delivery visibility, dependency management, resource transparency, and operational governance activities aligned to programme cadence and leadership reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain integrated planning activities across Platform Integration workstreams
  • Coordinate programme timing, milestones, dependencies, and operational readiness activities
  • Support Integration, Test, Release, and Programme teams through structured operational governance
  • Prepare and maintain leadership reporting packs covering status, risks, issues, and forward outlook
  • Facilitate Operations Sync meetings, action tracking, and escalation management activities
  • Support resource transparency, capacity visibility, and operational reporting activities
  • Maintain dependency logs, planning assumptions, and governance artefacts
  • Support continuous improvement of planning governance and reporting processes
  • Ensure alignment across engineering stakeholders and programme governance forums

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automotive, Systems Engineering, or related discipline desirable
Experience working within automotive OEM or complex engineering delivery environments

Essential skills

  • Strong experience in vehicle programme planning and delivery coordination within automotive or complex engineering environments
  • Experience supporting integration, testing, release, or operational governance activities
  • Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder coordination and delivery alignment
  • Strong reporting, communication, and governance management capability
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI, or similar planning/reporting tools
  • Understanding of automotive software/hardware integration and release governance activities
