As part of our continued growth in Aerospace Design and Certification, we are seeking multiple Certification Verification Engineers (CVEs) to support the certification of next-generation electric rotorcraft (eVTOL) platforms.

You will act as a key technical authority in your discipline, ensuring that designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

This role is Hybrid working in Bristol.
Within this role, you will be required to :-
Act as Complince Verification Engineer (CVE) within your assigned technical discipline
Review and approve compliance demonstration evidence, including analysis, test results, and reports
Ensure compliance with applicable EASA Certification Specifications (CS-23/CS-27/CS-29) and regulatory frameworks
Define and agree means of compliance, ensuring methods are appropriate and aligned with certification expectations
Evaluate engineering artefacts across the lifecycle, including requirements, design, analysis, test, and validation evidence
Review and challenge verification and validation strategies, ensuring completeness and robustness
Ensure traceability between requirements, safety objectives, and verification evidence
Assess discipline-specific areas (e.g. flight handling, electrical integrity, avionics functionality, structural durability) against certification criteria
Contribute to and review compliance documentation, including certification reports and compliance matrices
Interface with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders, including certification authorities
Participate in technical and certification reviews, providing independent expert judgement
Support resolution of technical and compliance issues, ensuring timely closure
Strong knowledge of EASA CS standards (CS-23, CS-27, CS-29 or equivalent)
Experience in compliance verification and certification activities
Deep technical expertise within at least one of the listed disciplines
Strong understanding of verification methods (analysis, test, inspection, demonstration)
Ability to assess and approve engineering evidence and substantiation packages
Understanding of system safety processes and their linkage to certification (FHA, PSSA, SSA, etc.)
Strong analytical thinking and engineering judgement
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to produce and review robust technical and certification documentation
Previous experience acting as a CVE or equivalent independent approval authority
Experience across multiple certification disciplines (e.g. systems, structures, propulsion)
Familiarity with electric propulsion systems, batteries, and high-voltage architectures
Knowledge of ARP4754A / ARP4761 processes
Experience supporting aircraft certification programmes or regulatory submissions
Exposure to Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) or eVTOL platforms
Understanding of ICA development and certification requirements
