Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineering Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership and operational coordination across a complex Operational Technology network environment. The successful candidate will ensure engineering activities are effectively prioritised, managed, and delivered, while driving visibility, governance, and successful outcomes across both project and business-as-usual workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a single, clear view of all Operational Technology network team activities, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure urgent and high-priority work is correctly sequenced, actively managed, and delivered.
  • Coordinate and distribute engineering work across both projects and BAU activities.
  • Remove blockers and ensure progress across parallel workstreams.
  • Maintain momentum against critical work deadlines.
  • Ensure changes are delivered safely within a live Operational Technology networking environment.
  • Escalate complex issues and support incident response where required.
  • Raise risks, gaps, and delays early.
  • Maintain visibility of work across the Operational Technology network estate.
  • Ensure effective prioritisation and progression of engineering activities.

  • Good understanding of:
    • Firewalls
    • IP Routing and Switching
    • SD-WAN
    • Cloud Connectivity
    • Network Security Technologies

Desired skills

  • Advantageous Experience:
    • FortiGate
    • Check Point
    • SD-WAN
    • ExpressRoute
    • BGP

Experience

  • Recent experience within enterprise network environments.
    • Experience guiding configuration activities involving:
    • Routers
    • Firewalls
    • Network estate infrastructure
    • Experience working within established guidelines and standards.
