Expleo is a leading global engineering service provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking a skilled automotive software test engineer to perform functional, component and integration testing of vehicle functions. 

 

Working within an agile V-cycle delivery framework, the test team is responsible for conducting functional, component and integration level software testing against requirements. Close collaboration and clear communication with the software team is essential.  

 

Responsibilities

    • Develop test plans against project plan. 
    • Design component functional and integration tests cases against design specifications. 
    • Execute tests cases and generate test reports. 
    • Perform issues resolution and regression testing to root-cause failures. 
    • Review requirements and architecture to proactively flag gaps, inconsistencies, or ambiguities. 
    • Coordinate with software development team on testing outcomes and failures. 

Qualifications

  • Degree (BEng / MEng) in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or closely related discipline. 

Essential skills

    • Automotive SW testing in HIL, component and vehicle environments. 
    • Familiarity with verification test tooling (e.g. Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, dSPACE, or similar) 
    • Experience with requirements and test management tools (e.g. DOORS, Polarion, or similar) 
    • Body and HVAC domain testing experience. 
    • Good understanding of vehicle electrical/electronic architecture. 
    • Reading and interpreting design specifications and Simulink models. 
    • Experience in the automotive sector, including understanding of V-cycle software development methodology. 
    • Test documentation and reporting. 

Desired skills

    • Knowledge of Euro7 emission legislation and its software/control implications. 
    • Experience working directly with an OEM or Tier 1.
